Here are some clip-in hair extension tips and tricks to protect your hair -
- Gently brush your hair extensions before and after use and always start at the bottom working your way up. It's also fine to brush them while wearing!
- Brush your clip-in extensions before storing them.
- Make sure you keep your hair extensions in a carrier bag when not in use or when you are traveling. The bag offers protection.
- After removing your extensions, ensure that the clips are fully closed.
- After washing your hair, use a leave-in conditioner to preserve smoothness and vibrance.
- Do not over wash your clip in hair extensions and always use a sulfate-free shampoo and conditioner.
- Style, straighten and curl your extensions just like you would your own hair.
- Before applying any thermal styling, make sure the extensions are dry and use a heat protectant.
- We do not recommend chemically altering the extensions. If you do choose to color please consult a professional first.
- If extensions are exposed to heat it can cause damage. We always recommend heat protection and UV protection from the sun or styling tools like a thermal heat protectant which has necessary UV and heat protection.
- Hair extensions may shed. It is not uncommon that hair extensions shed like a natural hair.
- Brushing hair extensions while they are wet is a big no-no!
- We do not recommend sleeping in AquaLyna hair extensions as this can cause unnecessary tension on your natural hair.
- We recommend if you're styling your extensions with a hot tool (curling or flat iron) to use a hanger with clips attached to secure your hair to.
At AquaLyna, we truly care about your satisfaction. We gladly accept returns within thirty (30) days of your order’s delivery date for all hair extensions that haven’t been opened, worn, or tampered with. You can choose an exchange, store credit, or refund.
Each AquaLyna Hair Extension system includes a tester in the box. Use this piece to see if the color is a good match. Remember, the tester is part of the full set and must be returned in its original condition with your order for an exchange, store credit, or refund.

DO I HAVE TO PAY FOR RETURN SHIPPING?If you're returning your order, you’ll be responsible for the shipping costs. You can choose any courier you like, but we recommend using one that includes tracking to ensure your package doesn’t get lost.
WHAT SHOULD I INCLUDE IN MY RETURN PACKAGE?Please include a copy of your packing slip or order confirmation. This helps us quickly identify your return and process it smoothly.
Don’t forget, the tester sample is part of the full set and needs to be returned with your order. Please keep the tester in its original condition—no dyeing, toning, cutting, curling, straightening, or washing.
Exchange
WHEN WILL I RECEIVE MY EXCHANGE?We know you’re excited to get your new extensions, so we aim for a speedy turnaround. Once we receive and inspect your return, we’ll ship your new exchange order within one (1) business day. Exchange orders are shipped free with ground shipping. If you need it faster, you’ll be responsible for the express shipping costs.
WHAT IF MY EXCHANGE IS FOR AN ITEM OF LOWER VALUE?No worries! We’ll issue a store credit for the remaining value. Both the exchange and store credit will be processed within one (1) business day after we receive and inspect your return.
Store Credit
WHEN WILL I RECEIVE MY STORE CREDIT?We’re quick! Once we receive and inspect your return, your store credit will be issued within one (1) business day. You’ll receive an E-Gift Card via email.
DOES MY STORE CREDIT EXPIRE?
Yes, it expires one (1) year from the date it’s issued. If you lose your store credit code, contact our Customer Support Team at hi@AquaLyna.com, and we’ll resend it to you.
Refund
When Will I Receive My Refund?
As soon as we receive and inspect your return, we’ll process your refund within one (1) business day. The refund will be issued to your original payment method. Please note, it may take a few days for the refund to appear on your statement, depending on your bank.
What If I Paid with Gift Card/Store Credit?
If you paid with a gift card, the refund amount will go back to the gift card. If you don’t have the gift card anymore, contact our Customer Support Team, and we’ll help you out.

CAN I RETURN OR EXCHANGE AN OPENED SET?
Unfortunately, no. Human hair extensions are considered hygienic products by law. For the safety of all our customers, we do not accept returns of opened items. We’ll inspect your package upon arrival to ensure the security seal is intact. If the seal is broken, we cannot issue a store credit, exchange, or refund, and we’ll return the product(s) to you. HOW DO I KNOW IF THE SHADE IS A GOOD MATCH WITHOUT OPENING THE SECURITY SEAL?
We understand it can be tricky to match colors from your screen. That’s why every AquaLyna Extensions box includes a tester sample in the top compartment. This sample shows the exact color and length of the extensions, so you can check if it’s a perfect match without opening the main package.
